I Love You Like I Love My Carrots
I Love You Like I Love My Carrots is the final assignment I made during my second year at LUCA School of Arts. We follow the main character who is stuck in an abusive relationship and finally takes revenge.
Pre-production
This story reflects my personal experience and emotions. The main character (Leo) was by consequence inspired by myself. I wanted to make the protagonist and antagonist (Xander) as different as possible to show that they are not good for each other. I did this in both shape and color.

The movie takes place in one location, but this location shifts to a different atmosphere halfway. Initially, Leo's color pallet doesn't match with that of his environment to show that he feels out of place. Meanwhile Xander fits right in. During the buildup Leo transforms into a monster and from that point on the room has a more purple tint. He took charge of his situation and that reflects in his surroundings.

After fine-tuning the design, I gave them bunny like features. Bunnies are well known for their innocent appearance; but nevertheless can have a mean bite.

Considering they are bunnies, I imagined they would live in a cottage in the forest. The frame on the wall gives a hint on who lives in the house.
I started by making the background in Blender. I then used it as a reference to draw the backgrounds in Photoshop.
